5. Mario Kart 7

Mario Kart 7 is the next game in the Mario Kart 7. This game has many enjoyable racing elements and much diverse player content. New features include a glider to navigate your way around the tracks, and the 3ds's gyroscope function. This gyro function will be bad news for who enjoy playing in 3d, as it requires you to tilt the system, disrupting the 3d effect. If you enjoyed the previous Mario Kart's, you're gonna love this game.

 

 

 4.  New Super Mario Bros 2

This is the series some people love to hate, although this game has received controversy over it's lack of innovation or "not moving the series forward", this is still one of the finest platformers on the Nintendo 3ds. In this game you play as Mario, an italian plumber and his brother luigi. Although this title doesn't have the most interesting of story lines, it is made up for with its wonderful gameplay mechanics and interesting enemies. This game is a fantastic entry in the long lived mario franchise, and my favorite Mario game to date.
 

 3. Kid Icarus: Uprising

Kid Icarus: Uprising is the sequel to the much praised game Kid Icarus for the NES. This game to put it simply, is a great game but it doesn't come without its flaws. The voice acting between Pit the brave angelic hero and his guardian Lady Palutena may be good, but as constant as it is, can get irritating and often distracting. None the less this game is a brilliant shoot 'em up action rpg with many, many secrets and much unlockable content. As fun as the multiplayer may be, it often feels generic especially when playing FFA, but this is still fun as it has taken advantage of the 3ds's network capability. All in all this is a fun game and i would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the classic Kid Icarus.

2. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a brillant game, consisting of amazing battles with huge and diverse monsters, to fun cooking mini-games and gathering quests. Being the re-release of Monster Hunter Tri, this has added much more content, including a new multiplayer area. This game is an experience in which it includes some of the greatest battles in video gaming history. 






1. Fire Emblem: Awakening

Fire Emblem: Awakening is the greatest game on the 3ds, if you don't already have this game, do yourself a favor and buy it. This is the Tactical JRPG of the year, this is a game where decisions matter, this is the next installment in the Fire Emblem series.
